After showers and breakfast, we cleaned and sliced the fresh Florida strawberries we bough yesterday. They're great with our Buds in the morning.
Then we drove the twelve miles or so to Marco Island and followed the road to the other end of the island. There, we found the Snook Inn and Chicki. Chicki is a type of thatched roof hut. It was almost noon and the cars were pouring into the parking lot in droves, so we figured it would be a good place for lunch. It was, but I forgot to take pictures of our food.
After lunch, we found a Micky D's and sat at one of the outside tables to use their Wi-Fi to post yesterday's stuff. From there, we headed back to camp and hiked one of the trails before cooking brats over our campfire.
After dinner, we attended a short Ranger program on the Florida Black Bear. Yes, they've seen them right here in the park!
Tomorrow, we head north for a couple of hours to set up at Myakka River State Park. See you there!
