2013 - Mar 04 Hobe Sound Nat'l Wildlife Refuge & Arrive at Collier Seminole State Park

After getting the necessities out of the way, we took a quick trip down the road to Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge. They had a real nice exhibit with several live mammals, birds, and reptiles. After walking the trail there, we went back to the campsite to eat lunch and pack up before we headed for Collier Seminole State Park.

We left the park about 12:45, fifteen minutes before checkout time. We headed south on US 1 to the Jupiter/Palm Beach area, which contains the highest density of Bentley automobiles on the planet, before heading west. We traveled the back roads to Lake Okeechobee before skirting its southern shore thru the citrus groves, turf grass farms, and sugar cane fields of south central Florida.

We completed the 188 mile trip arriving at Collier Seminole State Park at 4:40pm. Unlike the park we just left, they pack the campers in here pretty tight, but we'll make do. Tomorrow, we'll check out the area and maybe find a place with Wi-Fi so I can post this. See you then!
