2016 Feb 27-28 - Last day at Turkey Lake, first day at Lake Louisa

We ran around a bit on our last day at Turkey Lake. Did some last minute shopping. Yesterday, on the way home from Disney, we stopped at Camping World and picked up a battery powered circulation fan for our fridge. Gary had some cheap Dollar Tree batteries that he uses in his fan, so we used them and stopped at Dollar Tree to buy him some replacements. We also went to the Container Store to get a basket for the fridge.
We visited with Gary & Andrea over wine and cheese after dinner and called it a night. On the way back to our trailer, I took a shot of the carnival light show we had across the street each night.
Sunday, we packed up, said good-bye to Gary & Andrea, and hit the road for the long 25 mile drive to Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, FL. After we got set up, we ate a late lunch and went to Walmart to pick up a few things.
When we got back to camp, we found that Herb and Kim, friends from Pennsylvania that we met last year at Silver Springs, had arrived. They invited us to share their campfire, so we went over there at about 6:30. We had a great time shooting the breeze. When we got back to our trailer, the clock said 12:52 AM! Time flies when you're having fun!

2016 Feb 26 - Free Disney Tour, Day Two

Today was day two of our free Disney tour. We got to the Disney property at about 11:00 and spent most of the day at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Not much to say other than what's in the pictures. We had a lot of fun and saw a lot of interesting stuff in the past two days without ever entering a park! We even got free chocolate candy at Girardelli's!

Thanks to Gary and Andrea for acting as our tour guides. They've been here a bunch of times and really know the ropes!

2016 Feb 25 - Shopping and a Free Disney Tour

As I mentioned earlier, we met our friends, Gary & Andrea, here at Turkey Lake. They have spent a bunch of time in this part of Florida, so they've been playing tour guide for us. On Wednesday, we went shopping at a large mall, the Container Store, and Ikea. We happened to go by Portofino at Universal Studios, so I snapped a pic. It's a replica of the village of Portofino, Italy.

Thursday, we took a free Disney tour. The only money we spent was for lunch! We went to the different hotels, shops, restaurants, and campgrounds via Disney's monorail, boats, and buses. All without charge. It was a fun day.

We went to so many places and saw so many things that I won't be able to remember all the names. I'll try to put meaningful captions on the pictures, but I hope you enjoy them even if I can't label them correctly.
