We arrived on Wednesday about 30 minutes before checkout time, but the previous occupants were still in our site. So, we had lunch at Goatfeathers Restaurant down the road from the park and by the time we got back, the site was ready for us.
After we got set up, we just walked around and explored the park a bit. This place used to be a private resort park, so it has a pool, shuffleboard, clubhouse, etc. Nice park, but almost twice as expansive as a lot of other Florida State Parks we've stated in.

Thursday, we road the bikes down to the beach, but it wasn't a very nice beach day. Shortly after we got back, the view from our picnic table changed (see pic). Luckily, they were only here for two nights, but who knows what's next!
Friday, we started out to go to the Air Force Armament Museum at Eglin Air Force Base, recommended by friend, Mark. We got into Destin and came upon the Harbor Walk area, one of our favorite places we went the last time we were there. So, we walked around and ate lunch at Jimmy Buffet's place. That pretty much shot the afternoon, so it was back to the campground.
Saturday, we made it to The Armament Museum. Interesting place with a lot of aircraft outside and historical displays inside. I took lots of pictures. Enjoy!
