2012 - Mar. 12 - We hiked a few trails in Lake Manatee State Park

After breakfast, we headed out to hike a few trails in the park. The trails here are not nearly as scenic as those in Highlands Hammock, or even Koreshan. The majority of our hike was out in the open rather in any kind of a shaded hammock area.

When we got back to camp, I noticed one of those little lizards darting around on the BAL Leveler (used to level the camper). He was actually licking the grease off the threads! Take my word for it: It doesn't taste good. We fired up the Cobb Grill and baked a pizza that was frozen when we bought it two days ago, but not when we put it on the grill. It turned out just like they do at home in the oven. Good!

After lunch was nap time and after that, we drove down to the O'Brien Farms to use the WiFi. The gate was closed and the sign said they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. So we parked in the parking lot of the convenience store across the highway and I plugged in my WiFi antenna and used O'Brien's WiFi anyway, even though their building was about 150 yards away. While I was on line, the WiFi connection dropped out. I looked in my rear view mirror to discover that a bike truck pulling a big box trailer had parked behind me, blocking the line of site to O'Brien's. I just moved the car so that we had line of site and it was all good!

We went back to the trailer and had a cocktail before firing up the Cobb again. This time, it was burgers and corn on the cob all cooked on the Cobb. Real good!
Now, we're going to watch another movie that we downloaded to the tablet before leaving home. It's going to expire in a few days.

Later!
