2014 Mar 9 - Old Towne St. Augustine

Today, Sunday, is our last day at Anastasia. Tomorrow we'll make the 165 mile drive to Sebastian Inlet State Park. It's just across the Indian River and a bit south of my brother's house, formerly known as Dad's.

Today, we drove to the Bridge of Lions which leads to Olde Towne St. Augustine. We parked the car and walked across the bridge. There was a tall ship in the harbor. There were also a lot of motorcycles, the overflow from Bike Week in Daytona which starts today.

We ate Lunch at Cruiser's Grill and walked around, looking in the various shops for a while. We made it back to the bridge and just after we got past the center, the alarm sounded. The draw bridge was going up. That was pretty cool. We watched as a pirate ship and two sail boats passed through.

Then it was back to camp. We ate so much for lunch that we just snacked and sat around the campfire relaxing on our last evening at Anastasia, a great park. We just wish the weather in the middle of the week had been nicer.

See you tomorrow at Sebastian Inlet State Park.
