2015 Mar 12 & 13 - Around Rocky Bayou

We were only at Rocky Bayou for three nights and since we had so many campers in our group, we sat around and chewed the fat most of the time and went out to eat the rest of the time.

On Thursday, we did hiked the Rocky Bayou trail and got some decent pictures. After the hike, we drove back to Destin for another dinner at the Hog's Breath Saloon. It was still daylight when we got there, so I was able to get a better picture of the bar.

Friday morning, we took our time packing up, but eventually hit the road headed for St. Joseph's Peninsula State Park with Joe and Loretta in tow. At the park, we bought some of Florida's famous fireproof firewood, so we cooked our dogs in Loretta's little electric fry pan.

After an enjoyable dinner, we attended a park ranger's presentation about light pollution. It was supposed to be on the beach, but due to the impending rain, it was in the pavilion across from our campsite. We hit the sack after the presentation. The rain on the roof will put us to sleep.
