Today was an easy day for us. We had no tours scheduled, so we slept in until about 8:00. After breakfast, we boarded one of the constantly running ship's tenders for the trip to the pier in Kona. I took the laptop and used the WiFi at the Kona Beach Hotel to post the last three days' entries on the blog.
After that it was just a walk along the beach road, looking at shops and the sites of Kona. In that approximately four block walk. there were no less than four ABC Stores. Marsha went into the one attached to the Kona Beach Hotel and bought some body lotion, where she was reminded to save her receipts for her prize. If you bring in $100 worth of ABC Store receipts, you get a prize. Don't know what it is, but we've gotta be getting close!
After stopping at the Ko Ko Nutz Bar for a beer and walking around a bit more, we boarded a tender for the return trip to the ship. We had a late lunch and did a bit more exploring of the ship. We found a neat little pool bar at the stern, so we napped in the sun for a while before having a tropical drink with the word "passion" in its name and four kinds of rum in the glass! Then we did some more exploring and found the Lanai Bar and Lounge at the other end of the ship where we had a couple more drinks.
Then back to the cabin for another nap! We woke up just in time to run up to the Aloha Buffet for dinner before they closed at 9:00.
Another day in paradise!
