On Thursday, our Thanksgiving, but not yet in the USA, we had a few hours before we had to catch our flight from the Uluru Airport to Sydney. So, we walked over to the shopping mall to buy a few things. It's hard to believe that we're out in the boonies and this resort complex can house 5,000 people in the peek season. They still call the complex Ayers Rock Resort (Google it) even though the new official name is Uluru. Our hotel within the resort was the Desert Gardens Hotel. There's a small mall and a casino just down the street. If it wasn't for Uluru, there would only be a few Aboriginal huts here!
Oh! The time changed by 1.5 hours when we landed in Sydney! Not many pictures today. Most of the day was spent in the air. We checked into The Tank Stream Hotel, then went to dinner at the Cyren (Siren). It was a beautiful evening. We got back to our hotel early so we could rest up for our first day in Sydney.
