2012 - Jan. 19 - Adi's Gymnastics Meet in Mahomet, IL

Adi's first event was at 8:30, so we had to get up at o'dark:30 for the hour-and-a-half drive to Mahomet. It was worth the drive. She got two firsts and a second that day. We didn't go last year, but Chad told us that the turn-out wasn't very big for a two-day event, so this year, they made it a one-day event. Yeah, you guessed it: over 1,500 kids signed up! Adi's event times were 8:30, 1:30 and 5:30, so it was an all-day deal for us. We didn't get home until about 8:45 that evening.

Between events, we drove in to Champaign for lunch, to the mall, etc., just to kill the time. All in all, it was a great day. Well, actually, any day that we get to spend with our grandkids is a great day.
