We docked about 9:00am, which is a very interesting process in itself. You don't just whip one of theses babies into a parallel parking spot. When we got off the ship, we had no plans, but at the end of the gangway, there was a hop on - hop off tour bus that made a bunch of stops around the city and included a 90 minute walking tour. Since we had to be back on the ship by 2:30, we decided that the bus tour was the best way to see the most stuff in the time we had.
It was HOT and HUMID when we started out and got worse as the day went on. WOW! Anyway, I think I'll just let you look at the pictures. Cartagena is a beautiful city of 1.2 million people with another 1.2 million in the surrounding area. Some things were very modern and others have been here since the 1600s.
