2015 Apr 25 - Saturday was a beautiful day in Colbert, OK

After the storm on Friday, Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day. Marsha went shopping in Dennison, TX with Irene and two other women. I just hung around the campground and swapped lies with the guys.

There was a catered dinner and a big group campfire down by the river that evening. Marsha headed back to the camper about 9:00, but I hung in there until about 10:45. It was an enjoyable day.

Sunday started out sunny and hot hot, but started clouding up around noon. Debbie and Frank, who are thinking of buying an Alto camper, drove down from near Oklahoma City to look at ours because they had never seen one in the flesh. We spent about an hour showing them the camper and answering their questions. After they left, we went back up to the Rally Room and ate leftovers with the few rally goers who stayed the extra day.

We'll be heading toward home in the morning. One thing is for sure: We won't be traveling on US 69 for more than the ten miles it takes to get us to an alternate route. It's probably the worst paved road I've ever driven on, and being from Illinois, that's saying something!
