Sunday, Susan and Lou drove to Tucson to have lunch with his mother who's in an assisted living facility, and Marsha and I lounged around the house and the pool. So, no pictures for those two days.
Monday morning at 6:10, we left the house, headed for San Clemente, CA for a couple of days of R&R. Yeah, like we need more R&R! The pictures pretty much tell the story. It took about six hours to get to the hotel, but we were a bit early for check-in, so we went across the street and had lunch at the Fishermen's Restaurant before we checked in.
Our room was actually a two bedroom suite on the top floor overlooking the beach and the pier across the street. Nice! We took a nap after lunch, had a cocktail, then went down town for dinner at Nick's.
