2011 - Mar. 02 Day 22 St. Augustine - The Lighthouse & the Fort

We toured the lighthouse and the fort today. There are 219 steps to get to the top of the lighthouse. Luckily, there are landings every 25 steps or so. It wasn't too bad.

We got done at the fort about 1:30 and headed for Scarlett O'Hara's for lunch. It's a neat little place that has a nice menu. Great BBQ!

Back to the campground for showers and a nap before going to Chris & Larry's again for dinner and more visiting. On the way back from Chris & Larry's, we noticed the St. Augustine Lighthouse shining its beam into the night. I stopped and snapped a few pics. The one below is the best of them, but I couldn't get a vantage point from which to see the beam very well. Anyway, that's pretty much what it looks like.
