2010 June 24 (Day 9) A short 349 mi. from Saskatoon, SK to Edmonton, AB

We left Saskatoon at 8:00 this morning. I was a good day. We had a tail wind and got 20mpg! The weather was pretty good, but we did pass through a few showers along the way. Stopped for a picnic lunch at the Vermilion Provincial Park in Vermilion, AB. It was a nice setting along the river, but I didn't get much river in my picture.

We met some people from Minnesota last night in the campground laundry. When we got to our campsite here in Edmonton, guess who was setting up next door. You guessed it - the Minnesota people. They're staying here two nights, but we're heading north in the morning.


We went to the Edmonton Mall this evening. Got there about 7:30 and the mall closed at 9:00. We hurried, but I don't think we saw all 800+ stores!

Got gas for $.889 (per liter) today. What a deal. Bought more beer, too. It's cheaper in Alberta than it was in Saskatchewan, but I still had to have Marsha pay so I didn't have to watch. ;-))
