2015 Nov 03-08 - Gathering of Aframes at Rend Lake, Gun Creek Campground

We've camped at Rend Lake several times in the past, but never at Gun Creek Campground. It's very nice. People from the area told us it's the best campground on the lake.

It got pretty chilly at night, but we had plenty of firewood, so we enjoyed the evenings. The schedule was pretty uneventful. We had the obligatory potluck which was outstanding, as usual.

On Saturday, Marsha and I drove to Olney, IL to watch Adi compete in he first gymnastics of the year. She is now competing at the 'elite" level and is attempting to become a member of the national team.

We went across the lake to the Sesser Grill (in Sesser, IL) for dinner on Saturday evening.

2015 Oct 07 - 10 - Gathering of Aframes at Lake Shelbyville, Lithia Springs

We have only camped at Lithia Springs once or twice before. It was nice weather for camping. Good friends, good food, good time. The new visitors center is very nice.

2015 - Oct 4 - Grandson Grayson's 6th Birthday Party

On Sunday morning, we left Piney Campground at Land Between the Lakes and headed for Grayson's birthday party. Several of his cousins were there and they enjoyed playing basketball and other amusements in the yard. Below are a few pics of the Birthday Boy and his cake.

2015 Sept 29-Oct 4 - Land Between the Lakes Rally, Piney Campground, TN

The Land Between the Lakes rally is an annual non-denominational rally hosted by Dennis and his wife, Susie. Several brands of trailers were there; even a tent. We had a great time at the horse races and the potluck. The nature presentation was interesting, too. Enjoy the pictures.
